Boycotts and anti-bullies can at odds and ends. THE LAST WITCH story points us to making informed decisions and choices.

Many people are planning to or are already boycotting various business establishments during the month of March because they don't agree with those companies’ policies.

As you decide whether to also do so or not, please consider:

ree

1. Are you boycotting because you feel it's the right thing or because you feel that you should follow along with everyone else because you are told to do so? Make sure that it's the former so you don't feel bullied into something that doesn't feel right. That's counter to the intent.

2. If you choose to boycott corporations such as Amazon, consider the smaller businesses that use Amazon as a portal for their business. Many of them have their own websites that you can choose to purchase from instead.

3. Consider out of the box options when you do need to make a purchase. It can even be a month of out of the box purchasing! You might surprise yourself and others with what you discover - and please share with us on social media!

*Special note - human beings are notoriously good at bullying and it comes in all sorts of disguises. Check out The Last Witch Film - Documentary for examples.

Together, by choice, not force, we are making a difference.

We Filmed Snow Scenes!

I love snow.

Last month, I got to visit Massachusetts not once, but twice - and both visits delivered!

The first visit was to meet with local leaders representing institutions such as Salem State University, Peabody Essex Museum, and the Chamber of Commerce in Salem and in Danvers where we were hosted by Turner’s Seafood and the Danvers Historical Society. It was an opportunity to share our progress, build community and to continue funding THE LAST WITCH, which we did.

Thanks to contributors like the Salem Witch Museum and many more, I was able to return to Salem with my cinematographer Petr Cikhart just a week later to start what will be our final rounds of filming.  These final productions will help to fill crucial visual gaps in our story. Without those, we will have a flawed movie that won’t hold anyone’s interest - and it’s not the movie that we’re aiming for.

Instead, we chased snow around North Andover, Salem, and especially at Pioneer Village in Salem. These incredible shots are crucial to set the stage for our story as we will illustrate the beginning and ending of the Salem Witch Hunts that will provide a cautionary tale for what happens when common sense is overlooked.

Where would you like to insert a bit of common sense today?
