It's NEVER too late for justice!
Looking back at 2024, there is no other word for it than incredible. THE LAST WITCH has grown it’s imprint and numerous people have joined our journey. You are among that group of incredible people who are working together to make our documentary a reality.
We have made tremendous strides in our storytelling and know that we have a unique, powerful film in the works to share with you in what we hope is the not too distant future. We have seen it grow in scope and impact, as current events more than ever reflect historical pasts and roots.
We know that even while we are working on the project, we are impacting and influencing positive and empowering changes even as our socio-political landscape is going through historical transformations. Our story is one that encourages all of us to remain vigilant, aware, and active in that landscape, and to do it together.

We have 22 days with 60 hours of filmed material consisting of interviews, classroom scenes, middle school student interactions, political debates, and more.
We are editing and visually outlining the film, including the process to exoneration for Elizabeth Johnson Jr, making progress on the visual components of her journey as it connects to historical events.
Thanks to fiscal sponsorship and individual contributors, we have raised half of our budget to complete the film with the vision and potential impact that we want it to have. And we want that to be BIG.
As an independently funded documentary, we have applied to a number of grants and continue to build community support through meetings with individuals, business people, politicians, and even the Chief of Police, setting us up for a promising start to 2025.
Over 100 people distributed postcards to promote following THE LAST WITCH on social media across most ofthe United States.
Our social media following grew to reach over 800,000 accounts, indicating a strong global interest in our film which bodeswell for distribution
Six of the students in the film experienced the impact of their work at our penultimate, retrospective round of filming, reflecting on why we cannot let injustices stand if we want to move forward in a civil society.
Millions of people encounter history revised by at least two museums and a number of tour guides in Salem, MA now feature the exoneration of Elizabeth Johnson Jr as the end of the Salem Witch Trials. They recognize that while the Trials began in 1692, historically they did not end until 2022 when Elizabeth was freed from her “guilty” verdict. History stands corrected and justice is served.
January, 2025 is NOW
Looking forward to January – just a few days away! – 2025 holds incredible potential for us. THE LAST WITCH is a documentary 330 years in the making reminding us that it’s never too late for justice. Our entire team behind THE LAST WITCH has been steadfast in our commitment to develop that story and for it told by, about, for a community that will have worldwide impact upon its release.
THE LAST WITCH is a story about someone who was overlooked and forgotten, but whose voice is the one that we need to hear today as many ofus feel unnerved by current events. It is a story about possibilities and the power of civic engagement in making a real difference toward positive course correction and not get caught in polemics. If middle school students can change history and the law, anything is possible.
And it all is possible because of you.
